The Literary Committee is gearing up with full speed to deliver unprecedented programs to showcase the glory of the Telugu language and the literary richness at the 19th TANA convention scheduled from May 24th to 26th at the Dallas Convention Center.  TANA, founded in 1977, is one of the oldest and largest Indo-American national-level organizations with its charter to perpetuate, integrate, and assimilate the cultural heritage of the Telugu-speaking people of the North American continent into the mainstream of the cultural heritage of North America. Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX), established in 1986 as a non-profit, non-religious organization to preserve, protect and perpetuate the cultural heritage of Telugu speaking people of North Texas is co-hosting this event.
Prasad Thotakura, President of TANA, Murali Vennam, Convention Coordinator, Chalapathi Rao Kondrakunta, Convention Secretary, C.R. Rao, Convention Treasurer, Manju Kanneganti, Southwest RR, and Ram Yalamanchili, TANA secretary are overseeing the arrangements in progress by various committees.  As a part of the arrangements, over 200 individuals are involved in various committees to carry out different tasks flawless.  Around 10, 000 Telugu people from all over the world are expected to attend this mega event. The literary programs will be a special attraction at this biennial convention. The Literary Committee has already received confirmation of attendance by eminent literary stalwarts and lyricists from Andhra Pradesh.

Vijaya Chandrahas Maddukuri, Chair, Literary Committee of the 19th Convention stated that “Avadhaanam is unique to our mother tongue, and eminent personalities from the field will grace the occasion. Celebrated individuals from Telugu Avadhaanam lead by Dr. Medasani Mohan, Dr. Garikipati Narasimha Rao,               Dr. Palaparthi Syamalananda Prasad will host the “Glory of Avadhaanam”, an interactive analysis depicting various facets of the art of  Avadhaanam ”. This one of a kind program is already sending electric pulses through the hearts of many literary lovers across the world.

Commemorating the extraordinary contribution of the Telugu lyricists, a variety entertainment program is being designed to provide a unique stage for the distinguished lyricists lead by Dr. Siri Vennela Seetarama Sastry, Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara Rao, Chandra Bose, Dr.Vaddepalli Krishna, Ramajogayya Sastry, Anantha Sriram and many more. This interactive program will extol the glory of Telugu language and culture at the convention while bringing a galaxy of singers, lyricists and musicians together.
