Emraan Hashmi, who is looking forward to the release of his next film, ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ will be paying a tribute to the legendary poet-lyricist Gulzar in the film. Director Kannan Iyer confirmed the news saying, “Yes, in the film Emraan pays tribute to Gulzar saab in a sequence. We thought of a fresh way and made it look more realistic. Instead of just having one of his songs, we have made it more realistic.”
The tribute
would be weaved into a song titled ‘Yaaram’ in which Emraan will be seen
entering a club holding a book written by Gulzar. Emraan then goes on
to recite a few songs from the book.
Ek Thi Daayan is jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj
and Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi form the rest of
the star cast.
